Dispute & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: September 8, 2026

Blixxy Payment Protection & Resolution

Blixxy is a marketplace that connects homeowners and property owners with independent local service professionals. This Dispute & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refund requests, job disputes, and payment-related issues may be handled when services are arranged through Blixxy.

1. Cancelling Before a Job Is Accepted

A homeowner may cancel or remove a posted job before it has been accepted by a service professional, provided no applicable non-refundable charge has already been incurred.

When a job is canceled before acceptance, the service professional is not entitled to payment for that job.

2. Cancelling After a Job Is Accepted

Once a service professional accepts a job, both parties are expected to communicate in good faith and make reasonable efforts to complete the agreed service.

If a homeowner needs to cancel after acceptance, the homeowner should cancel through Blixxy and notify the service professional as soon as reasonably possible.

Repeated, abusive, fraudulent, or unreasonable last-minute cancellations may result in account restrictions or suspension.

3. Service Professional Cancellations

If a service professional accepts a job but can no longer perform the work, they should notify the homeowner and cancel through Blixxy as soon as possible.

Repeated cancellations, failure to appear, or accepting jobs without a reasonable intention or ability to perform them may result in account restrictions or suspension.

4. Payment Protection

When Blixxy's payment system is used, payment for a job may be collected before work begins and processed according to Blixxy's payment procedures.

Funds designated for a service professional should not be considered earned or final until the applicable job-completion and payout requirements have been satisfied and payment has been successfully processed.

Homeowners should not confirm completion until the agreed work has been completed.

Service professionals should not mark a job complete until the agreed service has actually been performed.

5. Completed Jobs

Both homeowners and service professionals are responsible for reviewing the job description, agreed price, scope of work, and any approved changes before confirming completion.

A homeowner should only confirm completion when the agreed work has been completed.

A service professional should only mark a job complete when the service has actually been performed.

6. Disputes

If either party believes there is a problem involving a job, cancellation, payment, quality of work, scope of work, or completion status, they should contact Blixxy Support as soon as possible.

Blixxy may request relevant information from either party, including:

  • Messages or communications relating to the job
  • Photos or videos
  • Original job descriptions
  • Before-and-after photographs
  • Proof that work was performed
  • Receipts or invoices
  • Information about agreed price or scope changes
  • Job completion information
  • Other documentation reasonably necessary to review the matter

Both parties are expected to cooperate with reasonable requests for information.

7. Refund Requests

Submitting a cancellation or dispute does not automatically guarantee a refund.

Refund eligibility may depend on factors including whether work has already been performed, the status of the payment, supporting evidence provided by both parties, applicable payment-provider requirements, Blixxy's Terms of Service, and applicable law.

Where appropriate and permitted, Blixxy may facilitate a full refund, partial refund, payment release, or another reasonable resolution.

8. Work Already Performed

Cancellation does not automatically eliminate legitimate payment obligations for authorized work already performed.

If a service professional has completed part or all of the agreed work before a cancellation or dispute occurs, Blixxy may consider evidence of that work when reviewing the matter.

9. Additional Work and Price Changes

Homeowners and service professionals should clearly agree to additional work or significant changes to the price before the additional work is performed.

Blixxy strongly encourages users to keep important job-related communication and agreements within the Blixxy platform whenever possible. This helps provide a record if a disagreement or dispute occurs.

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Users are encouraged to contact Blixxy Support regarding payment problems before initiating a chargeback whenever reasonably possible.

Fraudulent chargebacks, improper payment reversals, or attempts to avoid legitimate payment obligations may result in account restrictions or suspension.

Nothing in this policy prevents users from exercising rights available under applicable law or through their payment provider.

11. Fraud, Misrepresentation, and Abuse

Blixxy may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts when there is reasonable evidence of fraud, misrepresentation, abusive conduct, manipulation of the cancellation or dispute process, intentional non-payment, or other violations of Blixxy policies.

12. Blixxy's Role

Blixxy operates a marketplace that helps homeowners/property owners connect with independent local service professionals and facilitates certain platform and payment functions.

Service professionals using Blixxy are independent providers and are not employees of Blixxy.

Blixxy may assist with communications and review information submitted in connection with disputes. However, the availability of a particular refund, payment release, or other resolution may depend on the circumstances, supporting evidence, applicable law, payment-provider requirements, and Blixxy's Terms of Service.

Blixxy does not guarantee the quality, outcome, availability, or completion of services performed by independent service professionals.

Nothing in this policy should be interpreted as creating an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or similar relationship between Blixxy and an independent service professional.

13. Contact Blixxy Support

Users experiencing a cancellation, payment issue, or service dispute should contact Blixxy Support through the support option available on the Blixxy platform.

Users should provide the applicable job information and any supporting documentation necessary to help Blixxy review the matter.
